Bees.
Apparently, they're insane.
I just saw a video on the National Geographic site called: Video in the News: Bees Battle "Hornets From Hell" that's definitely worth a viewing. Native Japanese bees can kill a hornet predator that is 5 times its size by raising the body temperature of the hornet to 117 degrees Fahrenheit. The honeybee can withstand a temperature of 118 degrees, while a hornet can only live until 115 degrees. They flap their wings to raise the heat until the hornet is cooked. Unfortunately, honeybees that were imported from Europe don't have the survival of the fittest instinct and are completely wiped out. Pure Darwin.
In other bee news, a giant 6x3 foot yellow jacket nest is growing on a couple's lot in Goergia.
